The structure of a simple sentence in past progressive tense is the following: | La estructura de una sencilla oración en tiempo pasado progresivo es la siguiente: |
noun/pronoun + was/were + verb in progressive form. "was y were son complementos" |

Uses - Usos
Present Progressive: The action was in progress when another action occurred.

A sentence including a part in past progressive tense may also expresses that an activity was in progress at some point in the past.
